The Friends of the IPO is an independently governed support organization which advocates for and raises money to assist the orchestra in its activities. This important group is open to any community volunteer who shares an interest in orchestral music.  In addition to attending periodic meetings, Friends contribute time to several events throughout the year which bring member communities together in a social atmosphere and provide fundraising opportunities to support the orchestra's annual fund and education programs.  If you are interested in becoming a Friend of the IPO, please call Mary Moutvic at 708/672-6355

The Friends of the IPO invite you to join them for Symphony of Style, the 19th Annual Best of Friends Fashion Show and Luncheon to be held on Saturday, October 24, 2009. The gala begins at 10:30 a.m. at Idlewild Country Club, Dixie Highway and Flossmoor Road, Flossmoor, with shopping, an open bar and time to connect with old and new friends before the scrumptious luncheon followed by a gala stream of fashions.  Shopping for jewelry and accessories is provided by Charlotte’s Then and Now and Regis Art Glass.

Raffle tickets sold by Friends and ushers will offer guests chances to win one of five elegant theme “baskets,” including “Chef’s Table,” “How Does Your Garden Grow,” “Night at the Opera” and more. Baskets brim with goodies and each will have a grand prize as well.

Hansen’s Villa in Manhattan, My Sisters and Me Boutique in Frankfort, Little Surprises in Frankfort and Kluger Furs in Flossmoor will provide the fashions and accessories for the models, all from our own Southland.
