IPO COVID-19 POLICY: All patrons ages 5 & older must be fully vaccinated as defined by the CDC and are required to provide proof of full vaccination for entry into all IPO concerts and events.  Proof of vaccination can be shown either via the mobile app “My Bindle(which is free to consumers through the Apple app store or the Google Play app store) or via manual checks of valid vaccine record upon entrance to the theater. With a special afternoon matinee show time set for this youth centered program,
IPO will be performing Stravinsky’s The Firebird Suite, a proven crowd pleaser featuring music
used in the Disney film Fantasia 2000. Originally prepared for an IPO performance in April of 2020,
that performance never took place as the concert was canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic shutdown.
Such a revered work, The Firebird Suite was used in the Opening Ceremonies of the 2014 Winter Olympics for the Cauldron Lighting Segment.
The program is completed with Get Out movie composer Michael Abels’ fantastical Frederick’s Fables,
based upon the stories of Leo Lionni, as well as Ravel’s Mother Goose Suite.

 Piano Concerto No. 3 in E flat major, Op. 75/79

IPO lowers the curtain on our 44th season by welcoming back world renowned pianist William Wolfram
for Tchaikovsky’s vibrant Piano Concerto No. 3 in E flat major, Op. 75/79. Acclaimed the world over, Wolfram is a silver medalist
at both the William Kapell and the Naumburg International Piano Competitions and a bronze medalist at the prestigious
Tchaikovsky Piano Competition in Moscow. In addition to Mr. Wolfram, IPO Composer-In-Residence Martha Horst
returns to finish out her pandemic-interrupted season.
